From London’s Haute Couture to Mumbai’s Vibrant Artistry
The story begins with Anurag Vora, a Surface Textile Graduate from the London College of Fashion, and his illustrious journey into the world of embroidery at none other than Alexander McQueen. As part of the prestigious fashion house, Anurag coordinated with Indian ateliers, witnessing first-hand, the impeccable skill of artisans in Mumbai, his home-town. It gave him a peek into the world of Indian ateliers and the vital role they play in haute couture worldwide
Recognizing the need for a professional embroidery partner offering exceptional customer service culminated in the conception of Ricamour Embroideries.
Brimming with experience in couture-standard workmanship, innovation and luxury, Anurag returned to Mumbai. He joined forces with Ruby Iqbal, a fellow London College of Fashion graduate. Ruby honed her expertise at Jonathan Saunders and House of Worth, excelling in client service and communication, while Anurag’s focus stays with design and artistry.
Together, they founded Ricamour Embroideries in 2012.
