As a bespoke embroidery and design studio based in Mumbai, India, we work alongside global design houses- inspiring, interpreting and bringing their creative vision to life.
Here, we have outlined our capabilities, operational timelines and technical considerations that often frame our initial dialogues.
Think of this simply as a guide to our most frequently asked questions.
Studio Scope & Capabilities

We reimagine embroideries for global designers across fashion, costume, art and interiors. A design partnership that spans from conceptual development to final construction.
Our core capabilities:
Research | Design and Development | Fabric & Material Sourcing | Embroidery and Embellishment | Fabric Manipulation | Garment Construction
Patterns- Physical vs Digital

You can ship your physical paper or muslin patterns directly to our studio.
If you have digital ones, you can email us your patterns as DXF or PDF files. Please incorporate a 10 cm square to allow our team to verify the scale accurately.
Base Fabric & Sourcing

Our studio sources a comprehensive range of textiles, including organza, linen, cotton, canvas, leather, satin and silk compositions.
Our premium nylon tulle is available in 150 cm and 300 cm widths, which can be custom-dyed to match any shade.
If your collection requires a highly specific fabric that cannot be procured locally, we welcome you to ship it to us.
Note- When providing your own fabric, we recommend an additional margin of 8-10 cm on all sides. Hand-embroidery tends to shrink fabric and this extra margin allows us to embroider slightly beyond the pattern and adjust accurately after shrinkage.
Shade Matching & Custom Dyeing

We offer custom dyeing. For an accurate shade match, it’s best to provide us with a Pantone TPX or TPG code.
Textiles- we custom dye nylon, silk, cotton, viscose and linen.
Materials- we custom dye sequins, wool yarn, cords, plastic and acrylic beads.
We work with Preciosa, Swarovski, Miyuki as well as a curated selection of premium, locally sourced beads and crystals.
Note- We recommend using commercially available glass beads and crystals as custom dyed ones tend to lose colour over time. If an exact shade match is absolutely essential, we recommend dyeing resin crystals.
Development & Production Lead Times

A bespoke embroider swatch development typically requires 1-3 weeks.
Production timelines generally range from 2-6 weeks, depending on the complexity, quantities and scale of the design.
We recognize the compressed timelines inherent to our industry and try to accommodate expedited orders whenever possible. In some cases, our team has successfully delivered fully beaded couture gowns in under a week to meet tight deadlines.
Garment & Accessory Construction

We offer complete garment construction for fully boned corsets, bridal gowns, evening gowns, RTW dresses, trousers, blouses, jackets as well as bespoke bags and accessories.
To ensure an accurate fit, please share your finalized patterns and complete tech packs. Sharing a toile or muslin mock-up, if available, also helps us accurately understand your intended construction, fit and finish.
Quality Assurance

Once production is complete, every piece undergoes a rigorous technical inspection to guarantee a flawless finish.
- Pattern Alignment- we correct any shrinkage that the embroidery has caused to ensure the piece matches your original pattern perfectly.
- Seam Matching- embroidery at the seams is meticulously aligned, always.
- Stitch Integrity- stitch strength is thoroughly checked and we ensure no loose threads.
We also include a repair kit with extra materials to assist your atelier during fittings.
Shipping and Logistics

Shipments can be processed directly through your DHL, FedEx or preferred courier account.
Alternatively, we are also happy to use our own DHL/ UPS account and apply the courier charges to your final invoice.
All shipping costs are calculated based on the dimensions and weight of the package, and these estimates are always shared with you for approval in advance.
Pattern vs. Yardage

We strongly advise crafting embroidery directly to your garment’s paper patterns or size specification rather than as fabric by the meter/ yard.
It is significantly more cost-effective, minimizes material waste and prevents the need to cut through finished, intricate hand-embroidery during your construction process.
Estimates and Pricing

Our pricing is calculated based on artisan hours, material quality and technical complexity.
We work closely with you to achieve your target price point by recommending adjustments to artwork density, embroidery techniques, material selection- all while preserving your aesthetic vision.
Sample Swatches
Development fees begin at USD 200 for a standard A4 size swatch (21 x 30cm). The cost increases with larger dimensions, specialized materials or highly labour-intensive techniques.
One-off Couture Pieces
Following swatch approval and receipt of patterns, we provide an initial cost estimate. Final pricing is confirmed once the piece has been fully crafted.
RTW Production
Production pricing depends on the final design, quantities and technical complexity. Once an initial sample garment is created, we can share the exact production unit price.
Minimum Order Quantities
